Our Story
As a mother of four, I've experienced firsthand the trials of toilet training, especially when two of my children faced long battles with constipation and behavioral challenges. These issues not only impacted their emotional wellbeing but also their self-confidence as they navigated kindergarten and beyond.
It often felt like we were stuck in a never-ending cycle, with many medical professionals dismissing our struggles and suggesting we simply wait for it to resolve itself.
The problem is, it didn't.
During this challenging time, I felt isolated and alone, believing that no one else was navigating these same difficulties.
However, through extensive research and unwavering perseverance, I developed effective strategies and a solid plan. Project Potty is a 40-page guide with a real, step-by-step markers to follow for toilet training. No airy fairy advice, but clear strategies that you can implement at home, day-care or even at grandmas house.
We use positive re-enforcement through charts and a reward system to help them tune into their body and it's sensations. You can follow our guide to create your own personalised resources for your child, or skip the headache and grab our pre-made templates.
The main aim is for your little one to feel in control of their body. Teaching your child about body autonomy fosters a sense of independence and confidence, enabling them to recognize their personal boundaries and make choices regarding their own physical well-being. When children learn to listen to their bodies and communicate their needs, such as during potty training, they develop trust in their instincts and a healthy relationship with their bodily functions.
This groundwork at a young age not only enhances their emotional and physical well-being, but also lays the foundation for safe and respectful interactions with others as they grow.
Project Potty is designed to cater to both beginners and those encountering challenges along the way. For first-time parents, it provides a clear and straightforward roadmap to introduce your little one to the world of potty training, complete with practical tips and engaging techniques.
Meanwhile, for those facing difficulties, the guide delves into personalized strategies and solutions that address common hurdles, helping you navigate setbacks with confidence. By combining empathy and proven methods, this resource equips you with the tools you need to turn potty training into a rewarding experience, ensuring that every child can find success at their own pace.
Let’s connect, inspire, and conquer toilet training together!
